Adventist University of the Philippines - Student Labor Scholarship Program

Policy Guidelines
1.    The Scholarship Plan will be as follows:

2.    One full scholarship is equivalent to the actual cost of tuition, general fees, board and lodging for one semester. Laboratory fees and other assessment shall be paid separately. (Accumulated labor credits or excess labor hours could pay for these).
3.    To qualify for the scholarship, the student should meet the weekly hours work requirement. Failure to meet the work hours required will automatically disqualify him/her from the particular period and labor hours will be computed based on the approved rate.
4.    The department head will screen all applicants for scholarship, evaluate their work performance and recommend continuation or termination of the scholarship.
5.    All students under this Work Scholarship Program should maintain a GPA not lower than 3.00.

Note: A deposit of P2000 (Two thousand) shall be required from the NEW STUDENT.
 

Adventist University of the Philippines - Policy Guidelines for Student Labor Coverage

These policy guidelines apply to all students not covered by the STUDENT LABOR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM.
Guidelines:

1.    The hourly minimum and maximum rates are P25 and P30.00 respectively for college students.
2.    Except for highly skilled workers, all beginners will start with the minimum rate.
3.    Returning student workers shall carry their former rates during current term until a new rate is recommended and approved. The new rate will take effect on the date acted. In case the student worker is a transferee, the new department head has the final say in determining whether to retain the old or apply the new rate.
4.    Generally, the increment in labor rates shall not exceed P1.00 unless the student is exceptionally efficient and skilled.
5.    Transferring from one department to another during the semester is not allowed.
6.    Cafeteria boarders and dormitorians are given priority to work in any department.
7.    A labor contract must be filed before work is started. Labor will not be computed without a duly accomplished contract.
8.    To avail of subsidy in board charges, the following plans should be followed:

12.    Subsidy on Cafeteria               90%             85%            80%
13.    Weekly labor reports with summary by departments must be submitted every Monday and Tuesday to the DSF Office.
14.    Excess labor of up to 15 hours per week may be allowed under special arrangement with the supervisor.
15.    Working students must maintain a GPA of 2.00. Freshman and new working students must have a grade average of at least 80%.
16.    The labor credit is for the payment of tuition and other school charges only. As a general rule, the labor credit should not be withdrawn in cash except for meritorious reasons.
